Any chance to reflect upon the Vajra Master, especially one such as Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, is a great opportunity. Most of Trungpa Rinpoche’s teachings arose spontaneously and directly from his enlightened mind without alteration or preplanning. This is called tolchung in Tibetan, and therefore has the incredible power to penetrate our hearts. This is very different than words spoken conceptually. Rinpoche was a renowned tertön and his teachings and the power of his penetrating vajra words are a great testament to this.
In this conference, I hope you will listen to some of his teachings and deepen your connection to his enlightened mind. Hearing his vajra words has the power to connect one to one’s own vajra nature. This gathering is a chance to honor and commemorate his short but hugely impactful time in the West, which benefited thousands while he was here in the world and will continue to benefit thousands in generations to come. I am pleased that this conference is happening in Vienna, one of the most beautiful and culturally enriched cities of the world as if the celestial realm of Brahma had descended upon Earth.
